A list of things to do and places to go compiled by Philip Searle and from previous newsletters and diaries.
- Gyroscopes (amazing collection at gyroscope.com)
- Covent Garden trip (TinTin shop amongst others)
- The De Morgan Gallery (amazing Art collection in Wandsworth)
- The Greenwich Museum (Free tickets to various events.) Amazing for three reasons (1) Walk through Greenwich tunnel under the Thames (it's free) (2) Greenwich Nautical Museum (think Navigation) and finally (3) the Greenwich Observatory on top of the hill where Children can see where 'East meets West' and assorted Telescopes and Clocks for GMT. Any age.

- Victoria & Albert Museum (Free tickets to the Power of making exhibition)
- Herstmonceaux, which was part of the Greenwich Observatory in Kent. Seasonal, but try to go when they have an 'activity day' and spend all day there. Lots to do for children up to teens
- Brooklands, old Airport and racetrack in Surrey. Try to go when they have an 'activity day' and spend all day there. See Concorde and assorted Planes. Any age.
- Kew Pumping Station Near Kew bridge, Seasonal. Try to go when they have a 'Steam activity week-end'. Any age.
- Royal Institution Family Fun Day, Abermarle Street, Central London, First Saturday of every Month (except January). Home of the popular BBC Christmas lectures. Fun and educational. Rarely crowded and a nice family day out to meet the scientists and try out a few experiments yourself. Ages 8 to 12.
